Python Job Details

  • You help to ensure the quality of our microscopy software platforms, which already support many innovative ZEISS microscope systems. With our software we inspire our customers worldwide in both research and industry.
  • You will implement automated test cases based on requirements, features, manual test cases or directly from the existing functionality in an agile team.
  • You will analyze test results and collaborate with software developers in international product development teams to troubleshoot issues.
  • You will support the development and maintenance of a company-wide and cross-site test automation framework and help to shape new standards and processes for test automation.
  • You will support the system specialists in their manually performed tests by providing suitable semi-automated test tools.
  • You will raise quality awareness in an interdisciplinary team of experts in an international environment in close cooperation with product managers, project managers, developers and architects.
  • You hold a University degree in computer science / informatics or a comparable qualification.
  • You have extensive experience with Python and C#.
  • If you have a solid experience with test automation for complex systems consisting of hardware and software in an industrial environment would be highly advantageous.
  • If you hold a ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level would be advantageous.
  • A prior experience with GUI Testing (e.g. Selenium) is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Gherkin (Cucumber or similar), CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and Git.
  • Proficiency in English and preferably fluency in German or the willingness to learn German.
  • You should have strong quality awareness, great communication and analytical skills.
  • You should have an agile mindset and the ability to work in international teams.
